Earth Day 2016 is dedicated to helping your lifestyle become more eco-friendly, and it’s doing that through a variety of interactive booths, workshops, and activities.
Below is a brief glimpse into what to expect at Earth Day 2016. It’ll be occurring on Saturday, April 30th, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Central Park.

Theodore Payne Foundation Teaching Native Plant Workshop
A non-profit specializing in native plant education, the Theodore Payne Foundation will be teaching residents how to properly care for native plants and seamlessly incorporate them into their landscaping.

Performance by Local Singer/ Songwriter Chenza Puno
From original songs to covers, Herbert Hoover High School student Chenza has been taking the local music scene by storm. She’ll be playing from 10:50 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Catch some bluesy rock and roll with Leggy Peggy from 10:10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Lunch with the Food Trucks
Grab lunch and dessert with the three different food trucks that will be making an appearance! The Lobos Truck offers American comfort food in the form of WACHOS, mac & cheese, and burgers made from quality meats and organic produce. The Border Grill Truck prides itself on serving up modern Mexican cuisine and the option to choose dishes made from 80% plant-based ingredients.
