On September 22, 2015 at 11:47 p.m., the Glendale Police Department received a call at a residence in the 500 block of Alexander Street regarding a male with a gun. On arrival, officers found a small gathering of people at the home. A victim at the residence reported a guest by the name of Bryan Forster arrived and an argument ensued. During the argument, Forster displayed a gun and refused to leave.
Based on the circumstances involving the gun, a perimeter was established and neighboring homes were evacuated. At 12:48 pm, the SWAT team and K-9 unit were notified due to Forster’s refusal to exit the home after numerous requests by officers.
At approximately 6:40 a.m., the SWAT team deployed tear gas and the male was located hiding under a tarp adjacent to the garage and he was taken into custody. Officers searched the garage and located the gun used in the incident.
A search of Forster’s vehicle revealed a white substance resembling methamphetamine, marijuana and a wallet not belonging to Forster.
There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
Forster has been identified as a Temple Street Gang member and has a lengthy criminal history involving firearms.
Bryan Charles Forster (DOB: 11/19/80) of Los Angeles, was booked for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Forster will be arraigned on September 25, 2015 at Glendale Superior Court.
