Closures on the Foothill Freeway (Interstate 210)
Los Angeles - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue intermittent closures of two lanes on the eastbound and westbound I-210 Sunday, October 4 through Thursday, October 15, 2015, each night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Scheduled closures are subject to change and/or cancelation.
October 4 through October 15
Eastbound I-210
Foothill Boulevard overcrossing to Lincoln Avenue-Howard Street undercrossing – Excavation of the median barrier.
October 12 through October 15
Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Ocean View Boulevard overcrossing to the Foothill Boulevard overcrossing – Install drainage system. Note: Day and night time work will be performed behind k-rail.
October 6 through October 8
Eastbound I-210
Dunsmore Avenue undercrossing to Ocean View Boulevard overcrossing – Set median concrete base.
Residents and local businesses located near the freeway may notice noise, vibrations and dust associated with construction activities. Noise levels will not exceed state and federal regulations. Water trucks will be used to minimize dust during working hours.
The night time closures are necessary to minimize traffic delays and provide a safe work zone for construction crews and motorists while working along the I-210.
The contractor for this $148.5 million project is Flatiron West, Inc., Chino Hills, California. Construction signs and changeable message signs will be in place to alert motorists to construction activities and closures. Motorists should anticipate delays, plan ahead and use alternate routes. Caltrans appreciates your patience while we work to improve I-210. For additional information, contact Jackie Beaver at (213) 897-7602 or email at jacqueline.beaver@dot.ca.gov.
Caltrans advised motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.”
