3 Arrested Involving Two Residential Burglaries

October 23, 2015

On Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at approximately 1:00 pm, officers responded to the 3100 block of Chadney Drive in Glendale regarding a residential burglary investigation.

The victim indicated she exited her home at approximately 12:30 p.m. and noticed a red sedan type vehicle parked in front of her residence occupied by males, described as African-American in their teens or early 20’s. The victim left for a short time and upon returning home, she found her home had been broken into through a bedroom window and ransacked.

While officers were on scene investigating the burglary, officers were checking the area and located a vehicle nearby at Kirkham Drive and Lenore Drive that matched the description of the vehicle that was parked in front of the victims home. The officers stopped the vehicle and detained the occupants; two 17 year old males and a 19 year old male identified as Donte Fox, all residents of Pasadena. During the course of the investigation, officers learned the vehicle was stolen on October 21st from the 1500 block of Bank Street in Pasadena. A search of the vehicle revealed jewelry and personal items stolen from the Chadney Drive residence.

Officers conducted a search of the males and additional jewelry and other items were located in their pockets that were related to the Chadney Drive burglary.

During the course of the investigation, officers were advised of a second home that was burglarized in the 3100 block of Chadney Drive. Items stolen from this home were also recovered in the suspect vehicle and on Donte Fox.

Based on the investigation, the three males were placed under arrest for burglary and a stolen vehicle. The two 17 year old males were cited and released to family members.

On October 22nd, detectives served search warrants in the 1300 block of Marengo (Fox’s residence) and 1300 block of Summit (17 year old male subject) in Pasadena. Items were seized and recovered as evidence.
