In California, the hamburger isn't simply celebrated; it's worshipped. Widely considered a sacred part of the cultural food landscape, countless eateries serve up their own unique variations of this classic sandwich. Next year, Glendale will be welcoming a burger staple to its downtown area in the form of Shake Shack, one of the nation's trendiest food chains.
In terms of humble roots, Shake Shack takes the cake. It originated as a simple food cart residing within Madison Square Park, and now occupies 66 total locations both nationwide and abroad. Menu items include 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers, hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, frozen custard, beer, and of course, their eponymous milkshakes.
The Glendale Shake Shack will be located across the street from the Americana at Brand. An official opening date has yet to be established.
