Next City of Glendale “Work Boot” Meeting Focusing on Parks


Glendale’s City Council “Work Boot Tuesday” Meetings are part of an ongoing monthly meeting series dedicated to taking councilmembers and residents outside the confines of the council chambers and into the community to experience various city services and departmental operations.

Next week’s February 16th Work Boot Meeting will be taking participants to the Deukmejian Wilderness Park Barn and Pacific Community Center & Health Clinic. They’ll also be given the opportunity to view a soccer game hosted by One Glendale, our newly implemented after school youth sports program.

The meeting will convene at 3 p.m. inside the City Hall lobby. Transportation will be provided.

Official schedule:

  • 3:00 - 3:20 p.m. – Drive from City Hall to the Deukmejian Wilderness Park

  • 3:20 - 3:50 p.m. – Tour of Deukmejian Wilderness Park-Barn

  • 3:50-4:05 p.m. – Drive from Deukmejian Wilderness Park to Verdugo Park

  • 4:05 - 4:20 p.m. – Drive through Verdugo Park

  • 4:20 - 4:35 p.m. –Drive to Pacific Community Center

  • 4:35 - 5:00 p.m. – Visit One Glendale Soccer game, tour of Pacific Community Center and Health Clinic

  • 5:00 - 5:10 p.m. – Back to City Hall

Recent “Work Boot” meetings have occurred at the Glendale Police Department, Scholl Canyon Landfill and the Los Angeles-Glendale Water Reclamation Plant.
