The Alex Theatre

Few outings are classier than a night at the theatre. Whether it’s a play, musical, concert, or film screening, Glendale’s iconic Alex Theatre has got a show for you. A community landmark for more than 80 years, it hosts an average of 250 events and draws over 130,000 patrons annually.

Deukmejian Wilderness Park

 

 

Experience breathtaking views and the peaceful serenity of Mother Nature by taking a stroll through Deukmejian Wilderness Park. Situated in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, the park occupies 709-acres and ranges in elevation from 2,159 – 4,775 feet. It’s perfect for a romantic sunset stroll or relaxing picnic in the sun. 

 

Sitting at 2,330 feet is the one-and-only Le Mesnager Barn, a historical building that originally dates back to 1914. Over the years it has been used as a horse stable, equipment room, and winemaking storage facility.

So grab your food basket, lemonade, and homemade dessert, and come up to the Deukmejian Wilderness Park for a romantic outing!

Brand Park

 

 

Brand Park has something for everyone – hiking/ biking trails, basketball court, softball field, and a picnic area. It’s the perfect destination to spend a leisurely afternoon with your other half. You can rent a movie or view some striking public art by walking a short distance to the nearby Brand Library & Art Center. Those wishing to take a stroll down memory lane can tour the historic Doctor's House Museum & Gazebo or participate in a workshop at the Whispering Pine Tea House & Garden.
