Glendale Tech Week: Get Involved


The City of Glendale’s Economic Development Division is energized by the growing existence of high technology and creative industries in Glendale. In an effort to synergize those businesses, local talent, and resources, the City of Glendale will host Glendale Tech Week in September 2016.

The Economic Development Division is kicking off the planning stages of Glendale Tech Week and is inviting businesses to get involved. This public/private partnership between Economic Development, the City of Glendale, and a growing number of private and non-profit institutions including Glendale Community College, Glendale Arts, Glendale Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Glendale Association, and CBRE. Glendale Mayor Paula Devine states, “Business development and collaboration across the spheres make Glendale an even greater place to thrive.”

Taking place the week of September 14, events will be hosted by individual companies and institutions throughout Glendale in an effort to highlight the tech and innovation in the City. Through talks, codefests, site tours, happy hours, networking events, and a concert at the Alex Theatre, Glendale Tech Week will present a fun, exciting and inspiring environment that will highlight innovation and technology in Glendale. Glendale Councilmember Zareh Sinanyan states, “Tech Week and Glendale’s overall initiative is a strategic step towards the advancement of tech in our business community.”

Students, innovative businesses in Glendale, job seekers, prospective businesses, brokers, and venture capitalists are invited to attend, be speakers, and host an event during the week of shared learning and innovation. Learn more at www.glendaletechweek.com.
