This Monday we celebrate the bravery and valor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Glendale’s annual Memorial Day event will be occurring outside City Hall at 9:30 a.m. It’ll include a short ceremony recognizing the 20th anniversary of the Glendale – Montrose – Crescenta Valley Veterans Memorial and a Memorial Day speech by Mayor Paula Devine.
The event will also be honoring the loss of Joseph F. Stiftler, a Glendale citizen who tragically passed away in Iraq earlier this year.
The Memorial Day event is sponsored by the Patriotism Committee of the Glendale Veterans Coalition. Members of the coalition will be staffing booths offering information about services for U.S. veterans and their families.
The event address is 613 E. Broadway, Glendale, CA 91206. Parking is available in the municipal parking structure located on Wilson Avenue west of Glendale Avenue.
