One of Glendale’s annual traditions, Cruise Night is a fusion of classic cars, delicious food, and live entertainment. To help build community awareness leading up to the event, Glendale government access television station GTV6 was tasked with producing a promo for the 2015 iteration. They rose to the challenge and their efforts were rewarded with both a thoroughly engaging promo and 1st Place in the Promotion Under $400,000 category of the State of California and Nevada National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (SCAN NATOA) 2016 Star Awards.
While we’re on the subject of highlighting last year’s Cruise Night promo, we think this is an opportune moment to present this year’s version:
Cruise Night 2016 will be occurring Saturday, June 16th on Brand Boulevard from 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. It’ll feature roughly 400 pre-1980 cars and is free to the public. Live entertainment includes The Surfaris, Beach Boys tribute band Surfin’, and Eagles tribute band Desperado, culminating in an epic fireworks spectacular to end the night. The 20th Annual SCAN NATOA Conference and STAR Awards ceremony was held on June 9th aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. NATOA is a non-profit professional organization serving local governments and regional authorities in the development, regulation, and administration of cable franchises and other telecommunications systems.
