The Brand Library Plaza Series: Free Music and Family Fun Every Friday

Anyone who has lived in Southern California knows that the summer months can be tediously long, blazing hot, and even downright boring. However, your Fridays don’t have to follow that same pattern with the City of Glendale’s Brand Library Plaza Concert Series running now through August 26th. Every Friday, the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program and the Brand Associates bring together different Salsa, Jazz, and World Music performances to entertain Glendale audiences for free.

This Friday, the Brand Library Plaza Concert Series welcomes “The Mighty Cash Cats” with music honoring the late, great rebel country rocker Johnny Cash from his early hits to his final album. Guitarist, Vocalist, and Johnny Cash lookalike Michael J fronts this musical ensemble that plays the hottest new Country Music, Rock ‘N’ Roll, and the Blues.

Events like this one and more are featured regularly in the Glendale City Connection. The award-winning monthly e-newsletter, first released in December 2010, provides readers with the latest updates about city projects, initiatives, and events. It is 100% free.
