The City of Glendale and the Glendale Unified School District (GUSD) are inviting residents to join in on the conversation regarding the proposed Columbus Elementary School Soccer Field. The meeting will be held at the Columbus Elementary School Cafeteria at 425 W Milford St., Glendale, CA 91203. The community meeting gives residents the opportunity to learn more about the project and express any questions or concerns they may have. Representatives from the GUSD and the City of Glendale will provide information about project details and the schedule going forward.
The project would replace the existing turf field at Columbus Elementary with an artificial turf sports field. Field lighting and a restroom building would also be added. These additions would allow the field to be used by a wide array of district and city-supported youth soccer groups such as AYSO. Lighting and restroom facilities also have the added benefit of extending the hours of operation, thereby making more efficient use of resources and benefitting Glendale youth.
For more information about the meeting or the project, please call (818) 548-2000. Reasonable accommodations will be made upon request. However, requests should be made 72 hours in advance to the number above.
