Glendale Police Foundation and Glendale Police K-9 Unit Present: 2016 Glendale K-9s in the Park

There are few things stronger in this world than the bond between a human and their canine companion. No group understands this better than the Glendale Police Department’s K-9 unit. The K-9 Unit, established in 2005, partners four Glendale police officers with four canines to help with suspect apprehension, evidence searches, narcotics detection, and even explosives and firearm detection. With all of their training and experience, it is rare for the public to get a chance to see them used firsthand. On October 22, 2016, the public will have the opportunity to do just that.

The Glendale Police Foundation, in conjunction with the Glendale Police K-9 unit, is presenting the 2016 Glendale K-9s in the Park. This annual event features events for both people and dogs alike including a pet costume competition, speed contest, pet adoptions, live Police K-9 demonstrations, games, and refreshments for the whole family, plus much more. The event will also be offering inexpensive dog and cat vaccinations and micro-chipping services provided by Vet Care Vaccination Services, Inc.

This family and pet friendly event will be taking place Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Verdugo Park located at 1621 Cañada Boulevard, Glendale, CA.
