Glendale Named Fifth Most Fun City in California by WalletHub

How can one go about defining a “fun” city? Everyone has their own idea of what constitutes fun, and anyone who has made plans with friends can tell you how hard it is to come to one answer. Wallethub, the personal finance and free credit score company, has taken on the challenge of identifying the most fun cities in the United States. Taking a look at the 150 largest cities, Wallethub used 51 key metrics that accounted for everything from “Number of Coffee & Tea Shops per Capita” to “Time of Last Call.” These metrics found that our very own Glendale, California ranked fifth in California and 60th in the nation for “most fun” city.

While Glendale didn’t beat out fan favorite cities like Las Vegas and San Francisco, it pulled ahead of fellow California cities Irvine, Anaheim, and Huntington Beach. The rankings attempted to account for all types of fun activities from drinking, dancing, hiking, and enjoying a day at the park. The ranking ultimately reflects not only the amount of fun you can have in a city, but the variety as well.

In terms of having fun, Glendale has a little something for everyone. Countless bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and stores call Brand Boulevard home. For your outdoor and wilderness enthusiast friends, Glendale has 35 parks and 285.5 acres of developed park land and over 5,000 acres of open space.
