Rose Parade - Update on Upcoming Pasadena Street Closures

The deployment of the new vehicle barricades along the Rose Parade route will begin at about 5 p.m. (1700 HRS) on January 1, 2017. The deployment, however, will NOT cause an early, corresponding closure of Colorado Boulevard or many of the side streets. Our apologies for any confusion.

The ORIGINAL map issued (and attached again here) and that is also currently posted to the City’s website at www.cityofpasadena.net is the CORRECT map, which shows closure for the formal parade route and side streets beginning at 7 a.m., January 2, 2017.

Beginning at 5 p.m. on January 1, the water barricade operation will only partially close some non-emergency side streets and City will maintain access for local residents, businesses, parking garages and lots. The City will maintain public access to Colorado Boulevard and key intersections for throughout Jan. 1 into Jan. 2. Again, the entire parade route will not close down until 7 a.m. on January 2.
