Glendale city offices and many services will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2017 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Glendale City Council will meet next week for a special City Council in your Neighborhood meeting on the topic of Transportation. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Dignity Health - Glendale Memorial Hospital’s John Stauffer Auditorium located at 1420 S Central Avenue, Glendale, CA 91204.
The Glendale Fire and Police departments will continue to be staffed for all patrol, jail, fire, paramedic, and other emergency services during Martin Luther King Jr. Day. For any life threatening emergencies, always remember to call 9-1-1.
Glendale Water and Power (GWP) offices will be closed. In the case of electric and water emergencies, or to report a power outage, residents can call (818) 548-2011. GWP customers can still log into their account and pay their bills online at http://www.glendaleca.gov/government/departments/glendale-water-and-power.
However, the GWP Customer Service and Billing offices will be closed.
All refuse and recycling services will continue as normal during the week. While service will continue, the Integrated Waste Management offices will be closed.
All Glendale Public Library sites will be closed starting Saturday, January 14th and will remain closed through Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 16th. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, January 17th.
Parks will remain open during normal hours. However, recreation and community centers and meals programs for the elderly will be closed.
