Whether you are a young adult looking to break into the workforce, a mid-level employee seeking career advancement, or just want something new; The Verdugo Jobs Center and Glendale Youth Alliance have something for everyone. The Verdugo Workforce Development Board is celebrating Workforce Development Week from Monday, January 23rd until Friday, January 27th by highlighting the work and services these two programs offer the community.
Since its inception, the Verdugo Jobs Center has focused to improve the quality of the community’s workforce, provide job opportunities, and enhance the economic vitality of the Verdugo region. The Center, which is located at 1255 S. Central Avenue, Glendale, CA 91204, offers both job and business resources to the local community. If you are looking for a job opportunity, the center provides free internet access for job searches, copy and fax machines, phones, an employment library, constantly updated job bulletins, assistive technology, and employment workshops. Businesses can use the Center to post job openings, receive information on the labor market, and office spaces for interviews and recruitment fairs. GYA doesn’t just provide the help needed to find and enter the workforce, but comprehensive services to meet the human needs of young men and women as they prepare to enter the workplace and become self-sustaining.
