It is time to get those running shoes prepped and the training music going, because the Verdugo Mountains 10K registration is officially open. Starting today, you can officially register to take part in the Verdugo areas most exciting 10K event. The Verdugo Mountains 10K is taking place on Sunday, May 7, 2017, but be sure to register early to get yourself a spot.
The Verdugo Mountains 10K Trail Run and Hike will take you through a breathtaking 6.2 mile and 1,735 foot elevation gain course that will make for an unforgettable Sunday. The course will take you all the way up to one of the highest points in the Verdugo Mountains and down again for a fast descent to the finish. Along the way, you will experience scenic views of the L.A. Basin, the San Fernando Valley, and the Pacific Ocean. Not only will you be giving it your all and working up a sweat, you will see truly unique and spectacular views of Southern California.
This year’s race is being presented by Dignity Health-Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center and the City of Glendale’s Community Services & Parks department to benefit the Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation. The goal of which is to support park projects, recreation programs, trails, and open space activities that enrich our entire community.
The race will begin promptly at 8 am in Brand Park located at 1601 W. Mountain Street, Glendale, CA 91201. The race is open to runners, walker, and hikers, so feel free to come out and participate for a good cause.
