Antaeus Theatre Company unveils Kiki and David Gindler Performing Arts Center in Glendale

After months of construction, the Antaeus Theatre Company will be opening the doors to the new Kiki and David Gindler Performing Arts Center on March 2nd here in Glendale. The Antaeus Theater Company is inviting the Glendale community to experience the new center with four days of free events. All of this will lead up to the inaugural production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by the esteemed American playwright, Tennessee Williams. Previews of the production will begin on March 16th and will open on March 23rd.

The performing arts center is being named after Kiki and David Gindler in honor of their $1 million capital campaign contribution and long-standing patronage. Antaeus co-artistic directors Bill Brochtrup, Rob Nagle, and John Sloan said of the center and the generosity of Kiki and David Gindler, “We are all so grateful, honored, and humbled by Kiki and David’s devotion to the arts in Los Angeles. With this beautiful new complex, we will be able to make more art than ever before and serve more people in our community with our programming.”

The addition of the Kiki and David Gindler Performing Arts center complements the growing artistic and entertainment vibrancy of downtown Glendale. Located across the street from The Americana at Brand, and just a few blocks from the Alex Theatre and soon to be opened Glendale Central Library, the Performing Arts Center is perfectly situated to continue building upon Glendale’s place as an art and entertainment destination. The center includes an 80-seat theater, a reconfigurable 45-seat performance/classroom space, a theater classics library, and a lobby art gallery. The space’s flexibility allows for a wide range of programs and activities for the entire community to use and enjoy.

The doors to the Kiki and David Gindler Performing Arts Center open March 2nd at 8:00 am with a morning coffee hour sponsored by Glendale Tech on Tap. The topic will be on Ransomware and how your business can protect itself for this growing threat.
