The Los Angeles County Assessor Jeffrey Prang is helping make business owner’s lives easier this tax season with a free seminar on preparing and filing the 2017 Business Property Statement (Form 571-L). The seminar will be taking place on March 18th at the Adult Recreation Center located at 201 East Colorado Street starting at 10:00 am.
This free business seminar will fill in business owners on the dos and don’ts of filling out the 2017 Business Property Statement. The presentation is set to last approximately 45 minutes, and will have a question and answer portion following the presentation. This important seminar will answer questions you may have about this particular form, such as:
Who must file?
What is the Business Personal Property Tax?
How do you classify personal property and fixtures?
What are the legal requirements and rules?
What if I disagree with the value?
How do I E-File?
