California High Speed Rail Authority to Host Three Community Events in Glendale

The California High Speed Rail Authority will be hosting three upcoming community meetings about proposed changes to four Glendale streets. These informational meetings will be a chance for community members to learn about four grade separations being proposed at Chevy Chase Drive/Goodwin Avenue, Sonora Avenue, Grandview Avenue, and Flower Street railroad crossings. These grade separation proposals would elevate new and existing track on embankments and lower the crossing street so that they travel under the tracks. The meetings will take place Saturday, March 25th, Monday, March 27th, and Wednesday, March 29th.

The meeting dates, times, and locations can be found below:

  • Saturday, March 25, 2017 – 10:00 am until 12:00 pm

City of Glendale Fire Department Fire Prevention Bureau

780 Flower Street

Glendale, CA 91201

  • Monday, March 27, 2017 – 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm

Pacific Community Center

  • Wednesday, March 29, 2017 – 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm

The meetings on Saturday and Wednesday will present identical information on the Sonora Avenue, Grandview Avenue, and Flower Street proposals. The meeting on Monday will focus instead on the proposed grade separation at Chevy Chase Drive/Goodwin Avenue Area. Meetings are designed to allow residents and business owners ample opportunity to learn about the proposals, ask questions, and talk with High Speed Rail Authority officials.

Spanish and Armenian translation is available. Requests for other languages must be submitted 72 hours in advance. Meeting facilities are accessible for persons with disabilities. Please call (877) 977-1660 for assistance and to request further reasonable accommodations.
