The cold and wet weather has finally moved on and spring is here! Time to pull that classic car, hot rod, or exotic car out into the spring sun and to the Glendale Police Foundation’s Cars for Cops event! Show off your ride or just enjoy the show with some beer and lunch. The event is this Sunday, April 2nd at Parking Lot #34 across from Verdugo Park.
All proceeds from this exciting event will go towards the Glendale Police Foundation. So, while you are enjoying the cars and sunshine, your money will be going to help Glendale’s police officers. To register your car, please visit www.carsforcops.info. Registration is only $25 and includes an event day T-shirt, along with a custom license plate cover. Entrants have the chance to receive trophies across multiple categories. Top prize is a LOJACK vehicle recovery system valued at over $700.
Don’t worry if your car isn’t up to snuff - you can still attend the event and see all the cars for free.
Proceeds for the event are going to the Glendale Police Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, which supports the efforts of the Glendale Police Department. Funds given to the Foundation are used to buy needed equipment such as safety vests, portable magnetic card readers, video equipment, and even the K-9 unit’s food and training. The goal of which is to support the Glendale Police Department’s mission and strengthen community/police partnerships. For more information on The Glendale Police Foundation, click here.
