Glendale voters came out in force for the 2017 Glendale Municipal Elections yesterday, and the preliminary results are in. Glendale residents had the chance to vote for three City Council seats, City Clerk, City Treasurer, three Glendale Unified School District Board seats, three Glendale Community College Trustee seats, and one ballot initiative. Residents let their voices be heard, and the preliminary results can be found below.
Glendale City Council (3 seats)
1. Ara James Najarian - 8,305 votes
2. Zareh J. Sinanyan - 7,892 votes
3. Vrej Agajanian - 7,885 votes
4. Mark MacCarley - 5,651 votes
5. Rick Dinger - 5,149 votes
6. Susan T. Wolfson - 3,048 votes
7. Mike Mohill - 2,942 votes
8. Mike Van Gorder - 2,378 votes
9. Onnik Mehrabian - 2,065 votes
10.Grant Michals - 1,725 votes

Preliminary results posted will reflect the vote-by-mail (VBM) ballots that were received by the City Clerk’s Office prior to 4:00 PM on April 3, 2017 and those processed on April 4th from polling places around Glendale. After April 4th there will be a final tally that will include all VBM ballots received by mail but postmarked on Election Day, VBM ballots that were turned in on Election Day, and verified provisional ballots.
All results posted are unofficial until the final tally of all votes cast. The posted numbers will change and the City Clerk will conduct a final tally and canvass on April 21, 2017 at 11:00AM, which will be open to the public.
