Memorial Day Events to Commemorate Fallen Heroes, Stand With Warriors of Past and Present

In the words of Ronald Reagan, “[Memorial Day] is the day we put aside to remember fallen heroes and to pray that no heroes will ever have to die for us again. It's a day of thanks for the valor of others, a day to remember the splendor of America and those of her children who rest in [Arlington National Cemetery] and others. It's a day to be with the family and remember.”

It can be easy to forget how fortunate we are. Life is hard, things come up, and people get overwhelmed. But President Reagan was right – Memorial Day is the time to look past distractions, and to commemorate the lives of the Men and Women of the Armed Forces who died while defending our country.

In remembrance of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and in solidarity with the warriors of past and present, local organizations are hosting Memorial Day Ceremonies in the area. Details on these ceremonies can be found below.

Note: in observance of Memorial Day, Glendale City Hall and City offices will be closed Monday, May 29th. For more information on the closures, click here.
