Glendale, CA - Glendale’s Community Services and Parks department is hosting a series of meetings to better understand what residents envision for the future of Verdugo Park. The first meeting will be held on June 17th from 9a.m. to 11a.m. near the north playground.
Master planning meetings are a lot like a “choose your own adventure” book; the Community Services and Parks department has written the introduction, but it’s up to residents to determine the park’s future.
“These meetings are what make the City of Glendale the Jewel of California. We listen, we engage, and we help bring residents’ visions to life,” said Onnig Bulanikian, Director of Community Services and Parks. “When people come together, great things happen,” he added.
The June 17th meeting will rely on resident suggestions to pin down locations and specifications of a new playground, community room, bathroom and sets of picnic benches and outdoor fitness equipment The Community Services and Parks department will compile these suggestions into draft plans to be discussed further at a later date.
If you have any questions about this meeting, please call the Community Services & Parks Administration Office at (818) 548-2000.
Reasonable accommodations will be made upon request. Please notify the Community Services and Parks department within 72 hours prior to the event date.
