Meetings Scheduled to Discuss Proposed Right to Lease Ordinance

Two community meetings have been scheduled for Saturday, August 19 to collect community input on a proposed “Right to Lease” ordinance, which, if approved, would add additional local regulation to residential landlord-tenant relationships in Glendale.

Both meetings will be held at the Pacific Community Center located at 501 S. Pacific Ave. in Glendale and feature identical presentations about the proposed ordinance from the City of Glendale Housing Department.

The first one-hour community meeting is scheduled at the morning hour of 10:30 a.m. and the second one-hour community meeting is scheduled to repeat at the afternoon hour of 1:00 p.m.

Both meetings are intended to provide community members the opportunity to voice their thoughts while learning about the city’s proposed ordinance to address this important issue.

A draft of the proposed ordinance, fact sheet, and infographic can all be found online at glendaleca.gov/righttolease. A flyer for the City of Glendale-hosted August 19 community meetings is also available online.

For more information about these meetings, call the City of Glendale Housing Department at (818) 548-3936.
