City to Unveil Drought Tolerant Garden and Public Art at Central Library

The City will unveil a drought tolerant garden and public art at an event on August 27 at 10 a.m. at the Downtown Central Library, 222 E. Harvard St. Glendale Water & Power constructed a water-saving garden near the entrance to the Downtown Central Library to demonstrate the potential for water-saving landscaping, including water-wise plants and low water-using irrigation. Visitors to the Garden can also enjoy Scott Froschauer’s whimsical sign, GROW, part of a public art project supported by the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program. Artist Shenping Wang’s painting, Languish For Wisdom, will also be unveiled inside the Downtown Central Library. Read more here.
