Art Censorship Panel Discussion March 9

February 28, 2019

In partnership with Brand Library & Art Center, Artillery Magazine presents a panel discussion on the controversial subject of censorship in art called "Art Censorship - Is Anything Off Limits?" on March 9 at 5:30 p.m.

Each panelist approaches this hot-button issue from very different perspectives. Their discussion will touch on recent events where lines have been drawn and lines have been crossed by artists, curators, and institutions.

“Valley Girl Redefined” artist and panelist Casey Kauffmann will respond directly to the censorship of her artwork online and in the gallery space. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to view Kauffmann’s artwork uncensored.

The panel will be moderated by Stephen J. Goldberg, esq, Artillery legal columnist. Panelists include LA-based multidisciplinary digital artist Casey Kauffmann; Curator, museum director William Moreno; and artist, Artillery contributor Leanna Robinson.

RSVP for the event on Eventbrite.
