The New Year brings with it a new season for the Brand Associates Music Series at the historic Brand Library & Art Center in Glendale, California. The 2019 Series features six free-to-the-public concerts between January and June.
The award winning ACE Trio kicks off the 2019 Brand Associates Music Series on Saturday, January 26 at 2 p.m. Coined a “Musical Tour de Force” by the Mountaineer Progress Newspaper, ACE Trio is a Los Angeles based classical modern ensemble rapidly distinguishing itself as one of the newest leading groups of its generation.
Next on Sunday, February 9 at 2 p.m., the Lobo Ensemble performs on the Brand Associates Music Series! The ensemble consists of oboist Catherine Del Russo, violinist Jacqueline Suzuki and cellist Jeness Johnson.
The Lobo Ensemble is followed by award-winning harpist Cristina Montes Mateo, who will perform a solo harp recital of Spanish music on Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m.
At the end of that month, Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m., the Eclipse Quartet will take the stage. The award-winning Eclipse Quartet will present a program with music of living composers from Cambodia, Mexico, Finland, and United States.
Grammy-nominated pianist Vicki Ray will perform Daniel Lentz’s “River of 1,000 Streams” and other works on Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m. Described as “phenomenal and fearless,” Ray is a leading interpreter of contemporary piano music.
To round out the 2019 Series, violinist Marina Manukian and pianist Gayane Simonyan will perform on Saturday, June 1 at 2p.m.
