Free Rides on the Glendale Beeline!

Glendale Beeline and Metro buses are offering free rides to everyone on Sunday, April 22 in celebration of Earth Day! Hop on at one of our nine stops to relax, and let the public transport system take you to your destination. Not only will you receive a free ride, but you’ll help improve air quality and reduce greenhouse emissions!

You might be thinking… Okay Glendale, how?

Glendale Beeline was the first transit agency in Los Angeles County to fuel all its busses with 100% Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). According to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SC AQMD), cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks running on conventional gasoline and diesel fuels rank as the largest source of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. By taking the bus, the average transit rider saves one pound of CO2 emissions for each mile traveled. So, by ditching your car and riding the Beeline, you can reduce your carbon footprint this Earth Day!

And remember, although its free on Earth Day, you’ll do your share for clean air and help fight climate change by riding the Glendale Beeline any day!
