Girls Fire Camp

Do you know someone who wants to be a firefighter? The Glendale Fire Department and the Glendale Commission on the Status of Women have partnered to present the first ever Girls Fire Camp in the City of Glendale.

On Saturday, November 3, 2018, teens ages 14 to 18 will have the opportunity to experience one of Glendale’s bravest jobs in a one-day program taught by the Glendale Fire Department. The program will run from 9:30 am – 3:00 pm at the Glendale Fire Training Center, located at 541 W. Chevy Chase Drive in Glendale.

Participants will have the opportunity to connect with female firefighters and ambulance operators, and learn about future career opportunities through fun activities and demonstrations. They will be able to try on firefighting gear, use tools, and challenge themselves with a sample workout to see what it’s like to have a career in fire service.

Registration is mandatory, and space is limited. All genders are welcome to participate.
