Somerset, Adams Hill Predicted Glendale’s Hottest Real Estate Neighborhoods

The Somerset neighborhood of Glendale was predicted to be the hottest neighborhood of 2017 in Los Angeles and the fourth hottest nationwide, according to real estate company Redfin.

Redfin used data from thousands of customer visits to their website and the expertise of their real estate agents to make its prediction. The real estate company listed the median sale price in Somerset at $460,000 and median number of days on the market at 44 days.

This isn’t the first time a Glendale neighborhood has made it into the top three in LA. Last year, Redfin predicted Adams Hill would be the second hottest neighborhood in Los Angeles of 2016.

More recently, the October 2017 edition of Los Angeles Magazine listed Adams Hill as one of five communities in Los Angeles with homes below $760,000 “that offer loads of virtues, aren’t located on the other side of the moon, and still feature houses that are only a little above the median price in the City.”

According to the publication, the neighborhood’s median home price is $750,000 and homes spend an average of 28 days on the market. Last year, Redfin listed the median sale price in Adams Hill at $620,000 with an average of 26 days on the market.

“Young families and arty old-timers meet up at Adams Square, which features restaurants, a library, and a mini park carved out a 1936 Richfield gas station in the center of town,” Los Angeles Magazine said of one of L.A.’s hottest real estate neighborhoods.

The magazine’s description of Adams Hill called attention to its “winding streets,” which “filled with tall traditionals hidden in the woodsy overgrowth and modern numbers with airliner views of the Valley.” It also highlighted the neighborhoods tradition of beautiful Spanish and Tudor homes.
