The LA River Needs You!

Each Spring, the Friends of the LA River (FoLAR) host the largest urban River cleanup in America. They’d like your help at this year’s 29th Annual Great LA River Cleanup. FoLAR’s Annual River CleanUps are the largest of its kind, mobilizing over 10,000 volunteers in 2017 alone! They have worked tirelessly to clean the LA River by removing over 400 tons of garbage that would have otherwise washed into the Pacific Ocean.

On April 14th, the cleanup will take place at the Upper River, including the Glendale Narrows Riverwalk from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you’d like to be a part of this year’s efforts, then head over to their website for dates, locations, and other resources.
