Watch the World Cup on Maryland


While countries of the world prepare for the 2018 FIFA World CupTM, Glendale is getting ready for its first Summer of Soccer! On Saturday, June 23 and July 7, the Maryland Paseo will transform into the ultimate World Cup viewing destination and soccer fan zone.

Get your friends together and feel like you’re part of the action! Our 8.5 by 15 LED Screen will immerse you into the stadium. Join the roaring crowd all while enjoying free snacks and giveaways! Got kids? No worries, the family-friendly environment will also include children’s crafts and activities provided by City of Glendale Library, Arts and Culture.

Featured matches include Germany vs. Sweden Saturday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m., and a quarterfinal match between Russia and Croatia on Saturday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m.

Summer of Soccer is a collaborative project of the Downtown Glendale Association and the City of Glendale Economic Development and Community Services & Parks departments.

Fans have several transportation options to attend the event. Nearby bus stops include Brand & Milford, Brand & Lexington, Brand & California, Brand & Wilson, Brand & Harvard, Wilson & Maryland, Broadway & Brand, and Broadway & Louise, which are serviced by the Glendale Beeline and Metro lines.

This event is free and open to the public, however, you can RSVP online and show your confirmation at the booths to collect raffle tickets for a chance at some cool soccer prizes! Visit Eventbrite to RSVP.
