Apply for the Glendale Tech on Tap Mentorship Program

Do you have an idea for a company, but you're not sure if it's a good one? Are you just starting your company, but need some direction? Apply for the Glendale Tech on Tap Mentorship Program for the July 25 Tech on Tap event.

Instead of the typical presentation-style Tech on Tap, we will be hosting a speed networking / pitch workshop on July 25, 2018 at Underdogs (156 S Brand Blvd.) from 5 - 7 p.m. The goal is to have 20 entrepreneurs pitch their product for two to three minutes to the audience and the panel of mentors.

After, there will be an opportunity for entrepreneurs to speed network with the panel of mentors and receive feedback from each one. This program aims to provide entrepreneurs a mentor, an opportunity to practice and refine their pitch, flesh out any ideas that they may have, and network with fellow innovators.

After the workshop, entrepreneurs will be paired with a mentor to work with over the next month to polish their pitch in time to apply for Pitchfest during Glendale Tech Week 2018. This year's Pitchfest (Glendale's version of Shark Tank) is tentatively set for September 21.

Required interactions with the mentors:

  • Regular email communication/feedback

  • (2) in-person meetings to include at least 1 more practice pitches

OR

  • (3) phone calls to include at least 1 more practice pitch

Benefits:

  • Relationship building with local entrepreneurs

  • Access to an industry expert

  • Access to past Pitchfest judges

  • You and your company will be given a shout out in the City of Glendale's Economic Development newsletter and social media

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS JULY 2! Apply here.
