

Glendale, CA: On January 24, 2020, Glendale Police Officers and the GPD Homeless Outreach and Proactive Enforcement (HOPE) Team, responded to a call for a homeless family of 8, two adults and six children between the ages of one and seven, who came into Glendale for one day and were staying in their car on Glendale Ave. and Monterey. The family had been homeless for about five months. The officers were able to provide lunch for the family, and department resources were utilized to

Mayor Ara Najarian stated, “Too often these stories go untold. We are proud of our HOPE Team and the relationships that they have built with community resources that allow us to provide assistance to those in need. Thank you to everyone who was a part in finding this family shelter.”
