The Crescenta Valley Water District (CVWD) is installing a new nitrate removal treatment plant at the Ordunio Reservoir located at the intersection of Lowell and Honolulu. Part of the installation will include a new sewer lateral. As a result, there will be temporary traffic delays for those traveling southbound on Lowell and westbound on Honolulu weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until February 16, 2018. Traffic lanes will remain open on weekends.
This project is made possible by California’s Department of Water Resources. According to their site, “[The] Integrated Regional Water Management Grant Program, administered by DWR, provides funding for projects that help local public agencies meet the long term water needs of the state, including the delivery of safe drinking water and the protection of water quality and the environment.”
For any construction related questions, please contact CVWD’s Project Manager, David Gould, by phone at (818) 248-3925, or email dgould@cvwd.com. Visit www.cvwd.com for further updates.
