Public Works, re: Regarding the Vacation of the first alley southeasterly of Sonora Ave, southeasterly of San Fernando Rd (Alley 23); Vacation Case No. 178V On May 11, 2021, the City held a public hearing for the proposed Vacation of the First Alley Southeasterly of Sonora Avenue, Southwesterly of San Fernando Road (Alley 23) involving Case No. 178V at the request of the property owner. The property owner requested from the City to process the vacation of the first alley to create a campus for general commercial office use for the properties located at 6231-6325 San Fernando Road. City Council did adopt the aforementioned resolution ordering the vacation of the alley. View report to Council
Community Development, re: Urgency Ordinance Authorizing Entry into a Statutory Development Agreement between the City of Glendale and Vista Investments, LLC, a California Limited Liability Company, in Connection with the Proposed AC Hotel Project (120 West Colorado Street) An urgency ordinance was introduced for a Development Agreement with Vista Investments for a three-year term, which would lock in development impact fees at the time of plan check submission. The developer will also collaborate with the City’s Glendale Homeless Continuum of Care service providers to accept up to five nightly vouchers until December 31, 2021. Council modified the final term to include that both parties will enter into good faith negotiations for 6-month extensions beyond the December 31, 2021 term. View report to Council
The next Glendale City Council will meet next on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 beginning at 9:00am for a Special City Council Meeting, 2:00pm for afternoon sessions, and the regularly scheduled Council Meeting at 6:00pm.
