Family Promise Housing Placements

City of Glendale has been partnering with Family Promise of the Verdugos for Homeless Programs through Homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) funding to serve chronically homeless families with housing and services. They run a short-term rapid re housing program in which the clients receive up to one year of financial assistance, and then maintain the lease 100% after the grant funds end. The program runs the same way as any subsidized housing, with 70% of grant funds support for only one year. Clients are quickly engaged in intensive case management and increasing income through employment.

In times like these when we all feel lost and even lonely, Family Promise of the Verdugos continues working very hard to provide hope for homeless families in need. They are glad to be able to help these families secure housing through the agency’s CESH and CoC rapid rehousing programs.

Homeless Program staff continue to provide vital and on-the-streets services to all of our homeless neighbors. Housing services, case management, and landlord requirements continue to provide the opportunity for unsheltered families to enter into our programs and have a place to call home. This is a great example of collaboration in our community led by Glendale Homeless Continuum of Care. Here are some success stories.
