The 2019 Glendale Police Department Teen Academy graduated 34 students on July 24, 2019. The six-week class is designed to be a fun learning experience that will increase the understanding of police operations and provide an avenue of communication between the police department and youth. Students heard from experts in the Detective Bureau, Traffic Unit, Air Support, SWAT, Crisis Negotiation, Forensics, K-9 and the Personnel and Training Bureau. The 34 students received a station tour and participated in practical and simulator demonstrations.
