Glendale’s Director of Library, Arts & Culture to Retire

Glendale Libraries have recently made the jump into the modern era with technological advancements in facilities including MakerSpace, SoundSpace, ReflectSpace, and a hybrid gallery space employing art, technology, and interactive media. These advancements, among others, have been led by Glendale Library, Arts, and culture Director Cindy Cleary. Ms. Cleary has served the City of Glendale for the past 37 years, including the past decade as the Director of Libraries, and she is set to retire this month.

These advancements have opened a world of opportunity for the public to explore new technologies and learn how to perfect their skills in music, 3D printing, and more! Ms. Cleary’s drive has been fueled by bringing forth possibilities for the educational advancement of our community. Celebrate Ms. Cleary and her decades of service at an open house and reception from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Downtown Central Library Auditorium, 222 East Harvard Street, Glendale 91205. Presentations and commendations begin at 4:00 p.m.
