On May 4, 2019, community organizations that provide services to individuals and families affected by mental illness will convene at Glendale Central Library, 222 E. Harvard St., for the Healthy Minds Fair. Over sixteen local mental health and support organizations will provide workshops and information booths from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Organized by the Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Department, the fair also features a wellness area where participants can learn about and participate in self-care activities like painting, gardening, and terrarium building. Participants range from the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to Glendale Community College.
Various factors can “trigger” or cause the further decline of a person with a mental illness. The organizations featured at the Healthy Minds Fair help by providing support services to vulnerable populations and their families.
