On May 4, 2019, community organizations that provide services to individuals and families affected by mental illness will convene at Glendale Central Library, 222 E. Harvard St., for the Healthy Minds Fair. Over sixteen local mental health and support organizations will provide workshops and information booths from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Organized by the Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Department, the fair also features a wellness area where participants can learn about and participate in self-care activities like painting, gardening, and terrarium building. Participants range from the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to Glendale Community College.
Various factors can “trigger” or cause the further decline of a person with a mental illness. The organizations featured at the Healthy Minds Fair help by providing support services to vulnerable populations and their families. For more information, visit bit.ly/2Dj8KvO or call the Downtown Central Library InfoSpace desk at (818) 548-2021.
Visitors to the Downtown Central Library receive 3 hours free parking at the Marketplace parking structure – on the corner of Harvard Street and Artsakh Avenue – with validation at the InfoSpace service desk on the main floor. Handicapped parking is available on the east side of the library.
