During Summer 2021, the Citizens Redistricting Commission (CRC) will conduct ten (10) public hearings for input from communities of interest. At these hearings, the CRC will describe their process and ask for community input on what to consider in the redistricting effort. This is your chance to tell the commission where the important communities of interest are located so Supervisorial Districts can be drawn in a fair manner.
A community of interest is a contiguous population that shares common social and economic interests that should be included within a single district for purposes of its effective and fair representation. Communities of interest shall not include relationships with political parties, incumbents, or political candidates.
You can attend more than one public hearing. The zones (see map below) do not represent the only time you can provide input. If you are unable to attend the scheduled public hearing for your area, please attend another or submit written comment.
The next CRC regular meeting will be coupled with the public hearing for Zone D (Glendale included) on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 7:00 PM).
