May Message from the City Manager: Budget and Local Businesses

Do you ever wonder how the City of Glendale plans to keep our streets safe, our water clean, and our power reliable? Our annual budget study sessions are in full swing, and we want you to be a part of this important process!

The city's budget is a legally adopted document that covers all the expenses and revenues needed to keep Glendale thriving. From safe neighborhoods to well-maintained roads and parks, Class 1 Fire Department, and reliable water and power, our budget is essential for ensuring the sustainable growth of our community. Creating a budget is no small task. After city departments work on their proposals, the budget is submitted to the City Council for review and adoption.

That's where you come in! The City Council holds several budget study sessions to discuss and review the proposed budget content, and your feedback is crucial. We want to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we can make Glendale an even better place. The budget study sessions are your chance to provide feedback and help shape the future of our community.

So, mark your calendars and join us at the upcoming budget study sessions to share your input. Together, we can ensure that Glendale continues to be a great place to live, work, play, and visit!
