About the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee
Following the passing of the Measure S Bond in April 2011, the Board of Education established the CBOC in accordance with the Strict Accountability in Local School Construction Bonds Act. The CBOC oversees the expenditures of bond proceeds generated from Measure S. CBOC members are appointed to either a one- or two-year term; and may not serve more than three (3) consecutive terms or a maximum of six (6) consecutive years. The Committee meets quarterly.
About the Superintendent’s Facility Advisory Committee
The SFAC was established in June 2011 to ensure Measure S funds are utilized in a cost effective manner to provide facilities, technology, and equipment that support GUSD’s educational program as outlined in the provisions of Measure S and the district’s strategic plan. The SFAC reviews capital facilities projects and makes recommendations to the Superintendent and Board of Education related to those expenditures. SFAC members are appointed to either a two- or three-year term, and may not serve more than five consecutive years. The Committee meets twice a month on Mondays.
Applications are available on the GUSD website at www.GUSD.net.
