Public Works Department Wins American Society of Civil Engineer’s Metro Los Angeles Awards



The American Society of Civil Engineer’s (ASCE) Metropolitan Los Angeles Branch 2020 Awards Committee has selected the Kenneth Road Rehabilitation Project for the Outstanding Construction Project. This project was recognized for using exceptional or innovative construction methods and outstanding project management, design, and construction methods to overcome challenges and successfully complete a construction project. The ASCE also awarded the Implementation of the Bicycle Transportation Plan Project, Phase 3 as the Outstanding Bikeways and Trails Project. The Bikeways and Trails Project focused on the enhancement and implementation of new bikeways that improve and promote community connectivity and encourage non-motorized transportation. Additionally, this project won at the ASCE’s Los Angeles section level, which had competing projects submitted from the counties of Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Kern, and Ventura.
