Rental Assistance and Small Business Lottery Results

The Glendale City Council made available $ 2.75 million in COVID-19 Recovery Grants on July 1, 2020 to help those facing financial hardship due to COVID-19. Low-income renters and small businesses were given the opportunity to apply for funding. A random lottery was conducted by an independent, third party vendor on July 24, 2020. Staff reviewed and certified the lists and have posted the results. Funding for the programs were allocated through a combination of limited local and federal funds, including a local sales tax fund (“Measure S”) approved by Glendale voters last year, and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) for Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus (“CDBG-CV”).

The results for Low Income Small Business and Small Business Recovery Grants can be found here.

The results for Emergency Rental Assistance Program can be found here.

Please note that selection in the lottery does not guarantee that your application is qualified. Each applicant being considered for the housing assistance and small business grant programs will be interviewed and will be required to demonstrate their eligibility to adhere to all of the guidelines of the project. Because some of the funding for these programs is federally funded, applicants are subject to additional restrictions; therefore, applicants who were selected in the lottery will continue to be further screened by the City.
